Pastoral Care
At Mt. Carmel Prayer Chapel, Pastoral Care is the loving heart of Jesus in action. We believe that pastoral care demonstrates a dedication to human dignity, appreciation for differences, a dedication to justice and mercy through an incarnation of love and hope. The goal for pastoral care ministry is to:
- Make and grow disciples
- Offer Hospital and Home Visits
- Provide Spiritual Counseling
- Offer Prayer for the Congregation
- Support Congregants and Community members during a crisis
Outreach Ministry
"For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me, ill and you cared for me, in prison and you visited me.’ Then the righteous will answer him and say, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? When did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? When did we see you ill or in prison, and visit you?’ And the king will say to them in reply, ‘Amen, I say to you, whatever you did for one of these least brothers of mine, you did for me.’ " Matthew 25: 35-40
At Mt. Carmel Prayer Chapel, we seek to act in response to Christ’s words, “Whatever you do for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you do for me.” We act as the steward of the human and financial resources for Outreach, to serve those in need at Mt. Carmel Prayer Chapel and in our Community. Our hope is to connect those in need with Christ and resources available in the community.
